“ Parking is street parking around the area. I love Urth Cafe and have been enjoying coffee and pastry items for years. I have only been to the Pasadena location a few times but decided to stop to grab a treat. I grabbed a couple bags of espresso beans and a slice of pumpkin pie to go. I was lucky enough to show up when there wasn't a line to order. Typically you get in line to order and then find a table if you are staying. Normally it is busy and at times can be hard to find a table so I tend to get items to go. The pumpkin pie was delicious, each bite was yummy. I will definitely be back. There are some gluten free items and some vegan items and on occasion both vegan and gluten free items. They do have everything marked so you will know. ”

“ The menu has plenty of items to choose from. Full big breakfast entrees as well as pastries and muffins. All the dishes look, smell, and tastes exceptionally delicious! All the ingredients seem to be farm to fork. When you walk into the restaurant, you order at that line and a server brings it to your table. The ambience is very cozy with a fireplace in the main area. There is also plenty of tables outside but it was raining when we there so we sat inside - near the fireplace. The servers are fast and also pretty friendly. One more thing, great selections of coffee drinks as well as matcha. Def will come back! ”

“ Here's the thing... I love Urth Cafe. For such an extensive menu, I'd say the majority of their food is super tasty. HOWEVER. I just ordered their "Paradise Salad" described as a combination of "seasonal fruits and vegetables, walnuts, rice, feta cheese". Sounds delightful. Like paradise, even! Oh, no.... Friends, when I tell you that there were green beans AND mangoes in this salad...I could list all of the ungodly ingredients they decided to unceremoniously yeet into this abomination, but I really feel like THAT particular dichotomy proves my point best. Like, I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed. I need whoever is responsible for this monstrosity to look me in the eyes, and apologize. To say, "Hey, I'm sorry. We needed to clean out our fridges because we lost power due to what was perhaps the worst natural disaster to ever befall this city and, to be honest, I just reached a breaking point." And I would forgive them. Because i understand. Anyway, five stars. Will eat here again. But do not, I repeat: DO NOT order the Paradise Salad. Partake in that forbidden fruit and you'll not only be cast out of Eden, but lose faith in all of humanity. Jesus Christ. ”

“ Cozy Pasadena vibe cafe - perfect for brunch ! Decadent lox toast, generous thick cut ancient grain bread with 1in layer of cream cheese , lox , capers, lemon garnish and red onions. Cake like presentation, very photogenic. Love the lattes we ordered Chai ( very sweet ) and Spanish latte perfect for a colder mornings. At 8am for a weekend, order line was not too bad and indoor seats were still available. Sat next to a working fireplace, cozy vibe to start off the morning. ”

“ Come here for your pastries and coffee! We came here on a Saturday afternoon and there was a long line to order, but they had a lot of registers open. When you are on the dine in side, it can get pretty loud, but on the to go side, it is more quiet. If you are in a rush, make sure to order ahead of time and just pick up instead. We ordered the banana cream pie, fruit tart, and the napoleon cake. All of the pastries were really good. We also got their spanish latte in the blended and regular form. The spanish latte has condensed milk in it, which balances the coffee really well. The parking lot outside also offers parking, which is great. ”

“ Urth caffe is a popular breakfast and brunch spot in Pasadena. We went in for breakfast on Sunday morning and there was already a line though we didn't wait too long. If you want to dine there, you order first and then find an empty table where they would later bring you your food. It's really spacious and there's a lot of outdoor sitting areas to accommodate how popular this brunch spot is! It's a pretty area to sit down and enjoy your coffee and food. I got their famous Spanish latte and shared eggs benedict canyon w/ smoked salmon, Italian omelette, and wild mushroom pizza with 2 of my friends. I got their Spanish latte which is one of their most popular drinks and their sizes are huge! I got a small and their small is basically like a medium at other coffee places. They use big cups for their drinks which in my opinion makes it worth it. I also got mild so the coffee wasn't too strong but I really like it since I'm not a huge fan of coffee. It had a hint of sweetness but also not too sweet. The eggs benedict canyon had a good amount of smoked salmon and I liked how there were pomegranate seeds as the topping which had a nice acidity to it. The wild mushroom pizza was good as well and came with some sauces and grated cheese. The Italian omelette was my least favorite but it wasn't bad or anything. The omelette has a good amount of filling such a tomatoes, sausages, and cheese. We chose fruits as the side for the omelette but the fruits weren't in season anymore so it wasn't really sweet or ripe. Because of that, I deducted a star from the rating. Overall, Urth caffe is a good spot for brunch if you're in the area and if you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy the weather! ”
